If you are planning to import or export controlled goods, used goods, second-hand goods, waste or scrap into the country, you first need to register as an importer with the South African Revenue Service (SARS)

- Proof of bank account in the company (not older than 3 months)
- Company documents (COR14.3, COR14.1, COR14.1A, COR15.1A)
- Proof of address in public officer’s name (main director)
- Public Officer’s Income Tax Number
- All director’s ID documents
- Type of Business Activity
- What will you be importing/exporting?
